Dance Summer Camp
Dance Summer Camp is an intensive urban dance camp that takes place over a weekend at a campsite, bringing together dancers from all over the country and beyond. Over three days, you will experience classes with top teachers, battles, parties, jams and lots of sharing — all in an immersive, relaxed and energetic environment. It is training, culture and socializing in its purest form. An intense experience that leaves its mark on those who dance.
But we are more than a camp...
We are a landmark in the history of dance in Portugal, a place where several generations meet, challenge each other and write their own history.
Every step, battle and movement carries the weight of years of culture, sweat, laughter and achievements.
We are a community, a family that comes together to dance, fight and live culture as it should be: without filters, without fear, without limits .
2008 - 2011

Parque Verde
Birth in Parque Verde (Fernão Ferro)
Dance Summer Camp began at Parque Verde Campsite in Fernão Ferro. In its early years, much more than just an event was created: a community was founded, united by dance and a spirit of sharing. Among trees, tents and dirt floors, friendships were born, styles evolved and hip hop culture was experienced with all its intensity. Everything was new, raw, but full of truth.
2012

Monsanto
A new landscape in Monsanto
In 2012, we moved to the Monsanto Campsite in Lisbon. The change of scenery also brought new dynamics and possibilities. The event continued to grow and establish itself as a unique space for training, socializing and culture, where the love of dance and the desire to learn came together.
2013–2019
CCL – Almornos Camping Park
Consolidation at CCL, Almornos Camping Park
Since 2013, Dance Summer Camp has found its “home” at CCL – Almornos Campsite, in Sintra. This was a golden era: the event has established itself as the most significant event of the summer in the urban dance scene in Portugal. Over the years, Almornos has hosted renowned national and international teachers, high-level workshops, memorable battles and social evenings that still live in the memories of those who took part. It was here that many careers began and where a generation was formed.
2013–2022
CCL – Almornos Camping Park
The return with a renewed soul
In 2022, after a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Dance Summer Camp returned to Almornos with a special edition marked by reunion. The emotion was felt in every step, in every sound, in every hug. It was a year of reconnection and reaffirmation of the spirit that has always driven the event: dancing as a way of living, growing and resisting.
2025

With eyes on the future!
Unlike the years of the pandemic, the decision not to hold the 2023 and 2024 editions was a decision made by the organization. It was a time to stop, rethink and redesign the future of the camp. This pause served to look with fresh eyes at what has already been built and imagine new paths for what is yet to come.
The 2025 edition marks a new cycle. Keeping its roots at CCL – Almornos Campsite, Dance Summer Camp 2025 presents itself as a “year zero”, opening space for new ideas, new generations and new ways of experiencing street culture. With a focus on the quality of training, real conviviality and the power of community, this edition aims to honor the past, but without being stuck in it. It is time to write a new chapter.
